Architects Needed!

If you are looking for an Architect role ...

Regardless of whether you are a well established Architect or just wanting to get into the area, ECSA is looking for you. There are specific characteristics that we are looking for and what you do will depend on the level of Architect you are, but we take on all levels of Architects, train you in how ECSA provides architecture, and move forward. We will grow our own Architects (so that we don’t have to correct bad habits) and take on experienced Architects (so that they can pass on their knowledge and experience to the more junior Architects).

Partner Architect

  • Responsible for their own Office365 environment set up, including Outlook, accesses to SharePoint, and other tools as required
  • Attends Conferences and presents on behalf of ECSA.
  • Able to work with PowerPoint presentations and do public speaking.
  • Owns all Pre-Sales with Client(s)
  • Owns the Governance on ECSA side
  • Responsible for Agreements between ECSA and all Clients in the Partner’s region
  • Owns overall relationship with Client and all layers
    Involved in the approval of all changes to Templates and Processes
  • Creates quotations for Clients and ensures profitability of projects and services delivered to clients in Partner’s area
  • Determines if an issue between ECSA and a Client needs to be mitigated in some manner
  • Ensures that the appropriate Delivery Personnel of the appropriate levels are available for forecasted Region efforts.
  • Creates strategies for their regions with approved target revenue and profit levels.

Master Architect

  • Responsible for their own Office365 environment set up, including Outlook, accesses to SharePoint, and other tools as required
  • Contribute into template creation and updates
  • Create new standardized templates
  • Notifies the Master Architect of any issues arising with ECSA people, process, technologies, or governance and that of the Client.
  • Owns delivery of ALL Architecture services to Client
  • Lead Architects report to Master Architect
  • Leads all Pilot activities in order to understand what the delivery mechanism is and in order to be able to standardize delivery of the pilot
  • Accountable for quality of work products delivered by ALL Architects working on in the Client
  • Accountable for delivery of work products IN QUOTED Time (ie. profitable delivery of work)
  • Recommend improvement to Standardized Processes / templates
  • Understands ALL templates and processes associated with Architecture activities.
  • Facilitates the partnering of Architects as well as arranges the mentors for more junior architects
    Responsible for the Peer Review of all work products prior to being delivered to the Client.
  • Works with the Client at their peer level to ensure delivery of ECSA team is meeting Client expectations
  • Resolves any issues that arise between ECSA and the Client in a matter that improves the relationship between ECSA and the Client
  • Monitors the future demands of the client and communicates the expected demand to the Partner with regards to their specific Client
  • Facilitates additional Architecture services within a client in order to grow client revenue.
  • Ensures that the Architects under them have the accesses to the Client environment required to deliver architecture services.
  • Attends Conferences and presents on behalf of ECSA.
  • Able to work with PowerPoint presentations and do public speaking.
  • In order to be promoted to a Partner, the Master must find a new client and sign that new client on to ECSA.

Lead Architect

  • Responsible for their own Office365 environment set up, including Outlook, accesses to SharePoint, and other tools as required
  • Responsible for creation of work products
  • Contribute into template creation and updates
  • Owns delivery of individual projects
  • Mentors individual Architects (Junior and Apprentice) and grows them
  • Ensures that standardized processes and templates are used for delivery
  • Responsible for quality of work products of the project
  • Involved in interviews for new team members
  • Able to provide estimates for delivery of service and meets those estimates
  • Understands the PMO processes of the client in order to ensure the ECSA deliverables fall in the appropriate PMO gates
  • Deals with situations where issues arise between a Project team member and the Client
  • Understands and is able to communicate in all communication mediums including reports, emails, texts, and face-to-face meetings
  • Create new standardized templates
  • In order to graduate to Master, must be able to find a single piece of new business within the client and move that new business to a new agreement.
  • Notifies the Master Architect of any issues arising with ECSA people, process, technologies, or governance and that of the Client.
  • Recommend improvement to Standardized Processes / templates

Junior Architect

  • Responsible for their own Office365 environment set up, including Outlook, accesses to SharePoint, and other tools as required
  • Responsible for creation of work products
  • Responsible for learning and understanding standardized processes and templates associated with assigned Projects
  • Contribute into template creation and updates
  • Understands how to use LucidChart
  • Responsible to understand solutions created by others (end of Design Phase) and be able to describe those solutions using visual diagrams created in LucidChart
  • Inform Lead Architect of risk, issues, constraints, assumptions
  • Documents all information about the client to facilitate knowledge gathering and transfer about client.
  • Able to work in semi-unsupervised situations
  • Mentors new Apprentices on activities associated with project
  • Able to communicate clearly in any documented form.
  • Understands the different methods of communication with people and able to communicate in the written form associated with the work product.
  • Work products can stand on their own without the need of the author being present.
  • In order to graduate from Junior to Lead Architect, must take on a project, create the tasks associated with that project, and deliver based on originally gathered requirements.
  • Recommend improvement to Standardized Processes / templates

Apprentice Architect

  • Responsible for their own Office365 environment set up, including Outlook, accesses to SharePoint, and other tools as required
  • Responsible for creation of work products
  • Responsible for learning and understanding standardized processes and templates associated with assigned Projects
  • Contribute into template creation and updates
  • Understands how to use LucidChart
  • Responsible to understand solutions created by others (end of Design Phase) and be able to describe those solutions using visual diagrams created in LucidChart
  • Inform Lead Architect of risk, issues, constraints, assumptions
  • Documents all information about the client to facilitate knowledge gathering and transfer about client.
  • Must create Whitepaper on any subject to graduate to Junior Architect
  • Works in supervised, mentored manner.
  • Recommend improvement to Standardized Processes / templates
